Student view

How to understand this product.

Compare long-range telemetry with short-range setup and wired field integration.

What you can learn

  • LoRa link planning
  • Voltage and current measurement
  • Telemetry packet design
  • Relay control

A simple project flow

  1. Measure a field value.
  2. Transmit a compact status message over LoRa.
  3. Use a command or local rule to operate a relay.

Real-world applications

Example projects showing what this product can read, control and report. Each requires the appropriate sensors, connected equipment and application software.

Remote pump status reporting

Example: read pump run-state signals and compatible voltage/current measurements at a field installation. Send compact status packets over LoRa to a receiving node or gateway so the operator can see whether equipment is running.

Farm equipment control

Example: a compatible LoRa receiver passes an authorised command to the controller. Local logic switches a relay connected to a suitable motor-starter control circuit and reports the available equipment state.

Distributed utility monitoring

Example: collect electrical readings or compatible RS-485 device data at separated utility locations. Send small LoRa telemetry packets to a central receiver for logging and display, reducing the need for long data cables.
